SCHÖN ANDERS (BEAUTIFULLY DIFFERENT)
Guest performance by Ceren Oran & Moving Borders
A dance piece about the search for identity and feelings of belonging (6+)
Group behaviour shapes us. We organise ourselves into different groups, whether those be leisure clubs, or communities like states and unions. But what happens if an individual recognises their own sense of self?

Have A Say – A Card Game About Participation.
Workshop by Kris Grün, Friederike Dunger & Wiebke Hagemeier
How can we collaborate to design participatory projects ? What resources do we need? Who should be involved? How do we start conversations about the structures we want to change during the planning of the project?
In this workshop, participants will get to know the card game “Have a say”. This is a tool to facilitate conversations between children, young people, and adults, in order to discuss the topics of participation and exclusionary or adultistic structures in institutions. The goal is to look together at existing structures, in order to find the possibilities for participatory processes and then develop them.

CHANGING DIRECTIONS. New Perspectives on Creative Processes and Directing in TYA
Workshop by ASSITEJ Germany
This session session introduces 12 artists from different countries. Some are involved in community theatre or performative research, some are choreographes, some creative inclusive performances, others create for the early years and others leave the black theatre box to encounter new spaces. After a short impulse from each artist, the participants will split up into 6 groups, each diving deeper in specific new methods of creating. They will not only explore the former input, but will be enriched by the practice, experiences and questions of all the participants.

Queer TYA Artists Gathering
Networking Event by CHICKS* freies performancekollektiv
Let’s get to know each other, and forge connections, in order to take the first step towards creating an international queer working group within the ASSITEJ. To this end, we have three main questions we would like to explore.
- Which queer theatre makers for young audiences are at the festival?
- What needs and desires do we have for TYA from a queer perspective?
- What do we want from an international queer working group that operates in the framework of the ASSITEJ? What could we – as queer theatre makers – give to ASSITEJ, and what could we get out of such a working group?

let’s talk about sex
Workshop by CHICKS* freies performancekollektiv
In this workshop, CHICKS* will create a safe space for people who work with teenagers and/or in theatre. They can discuss about their experiences of sex education, create their own small performances on the topics of sex, sexuality, and gender, and get to know CHICKS*’ strategies of creating sex ed performances and performance formats from a queer and feminist perspective. How can sex education and TYA be brought together? What strategies are needed for this? And why is it so necessary to understand TYA a space in which to provide diverse sex education? This workshop will provide insights into the work of CHICKS*, whose productions combine theatre and sex education, as considered from a range of queer and female perspectives.
31.05.2024, 10 am, Sala Lecuona del Teatro Alicia Alonso
